Le groupe indie-folk The Heart and the Heart existe depuis déjà une quinzaine d’années, mais il avait essentiellement échappé à nos oreilles pour une raison qu’on s’explique mal. On a même critiqué le premier album de son ancien membre Josiah Johnson avant de se pencher sur le répertoire du groupe qui lui a permis d’ensuite voler de ses propres ailes. Comme il vaut mieux tard que jamais, on a écouté la 5e offrande studio du groupe originaire de Seattle, Every Shade of Blue.

Le nom de Josiah Johnson n’est pas très connu encore, mais le musicien a fait ses armes comme membre fondateur du groupe indie folk The Head and the Heart, qu’il a quitté en 2016 pour poursuivre une carrière solo. Every Feeling on a Loop, son premier album solo, ne s’éloigne pas trop de ses origines folk.
